Philosophy

Desniqi Services Society is based on the philosophy of families helping each other within the community. We as Aboriginal people are responsible for our future, and that means it is important for our children to have a safe, caring, and loving environment.

Vision

"To empower our Tsilhqot'in individuals, families, and communities to maintain ultimate safety and well-being for our children; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually utilizing our cultural and traditional practices."

Purpose

To sustain, suport and enhance family and community life, thereby maintaining children in their own home, or when necessary, seeking custom care families to care for the children.

Goals

•   To deliver community based, culturally appropriate child and
family programs to the Tl'etinqox, Esdilagh, Xeni, Tsi Del Del,
    Yunesit'in, Tl'esqox.

•   To deliver services from a prevention support and
     intervention orientation.

•   To provide services with a view of keeping families together.

•   To promote and facilitate healing.

To promote and facilitate the holistic renewal and growth
of the Tsilhqot'in Culture and Tradition and create a safe
     entry point for healing
